Laura's gallery from 30th July 2002 to 8th March 2004 updated 19-3-04

Laura is a marine biologist who has recently completed her Masters in Wales, and was first introduced to me by Alison when they were both at Aberdeen University. Transpired that we had met a couple of years previously, when we were both involved at a whale rescue on the Isle of Skye.

In March 2003 Laura and I visited Alison in Los Angeles, my first ever scheduled flight! It was certainly an experience, and my thanks to Laura for encouraging me to make the trip and for your support and friendship since we met.

Having survived the trip Laura came north a couple of times in the Autumn of 2004. My first shoot of 2004 was with Laura, exactly a year on from those pictures taken on frozen lochs ! When Laura arrived she asked what I had planned, and I replied 'Nothing!'. I just know that when we work together something great will be created, and it proved to be the case this time too. It's such a delight to be able to work that way.

Laura & Jules, a neighbour back home, came together in February 2004 but it resulted in a few solo pictures of Laura, the others are in the Duo gallery. Laura came for 24 hours 7/8th March 2004 to say goodbye before leaving to start work in the Middle East. When we walked up the hill at the back of my house that day, it was a year to the minute that we were crossing the Atlantic on the way to Los Angeles. I'll miss you Laura, we have created some wonderful images and I value your friendship and support. Haste ye back!
